This inspiring event aims to celebrate and support female entrepreneurs across the region.

Carlow County Council, in collaboration with local retail and hospitality establishments, is proud to launch the "Support Local, Shop Carlow" campaign. This initiative aims to encourage both residents and visitors to support the long-standing businesses on Lower Tullow Street, which have been the backbone of our local economy for generations.

Over 150 enthusiastic attendees gathered for the much-anticipated "Mastering Entrepreneurship" event hosted by Carlow and Kilkenny County Council in Arboretum, Leighlinbridge last week. 

The third annual Powerhouse Picnic, organised by Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office in collaboration with Network Ireland Carlow, was held at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow with TV Presenter Lucy Kennedy as Master of Ceremonies. This event, attracted over 120 professionals from diverse industries, offering a unique opportunity for networking, learning, and growth.

Irish stakeholders from Carlow County Council and South East Technological University (SETU) attended the 3rd Stakeholders Group Meeting, held on June 18-19, 2024, in Bucharest. This meeting marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration among project partners and regional and interregional stakeholders. The event, hosted by the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency (ADRBI), brought together key players from various sectors to discuss and promote innovative solutions for enhancing SME competitiveness and sustainable development.

The Local Enterprise Showcase is set to return to the RDS in Dublin from January 19th to 21st, 2025. The event is expected to draw buyers from over 2,760 retailers worldwide, including Ireland, the UK, USA, Mainland Europe, and the Far East, generating significant sales orders for the upcoming year. Presented by Design & Crafts Council Ireland and supported by Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, the Showcase will feature over 400 Irish brands, including emerging businesses backed by their Local Enterprise Offices.

Carlow County Council invites expressions of interest for consideration for appointment as Chairperson of a new Local Community Safety Partnership which is be established in each Local Authority area in line with the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024.
