Carlow County Council Arts Service have supported a number of music tuition programmes working in healthcare settings, both through the Arts Acts Grants namely working with the HSE and local care home settings.
Carlow County Council Arts Service have supported local musicians who have worked in local nursing homes to run longer-term programmes.
Carlow County Council Arts Service under the Creative Ireland programme have managed and supported Mobile Music Machine which was initiated during the pandemic to provide experienced, professional musicians to perform at nursing homes through the county. Since 2021 throughout County Carlow all nursing homes have experienced this programme and this continues on into 2023.
