Carlow County Council Arts Service provides financial support to artists in order to nurture and sustain artistic practice and processes. As well as for longer-term arts development that engages audiences and public discourse in new ways.
Artists grants are available to all artistic disciplines including, artists, musicians, performers, theatre makers, filmmakers, writers, socially engaged artists, creatives, storytellers, artists that work across a number of contexts and practices, artists that work in a multidisciplinary way. This is not an exclusive list of artistic practices, and all Artists Grants are available to all persons.

2024 Funding opportunities will be advertised in December 2023 for 2024 funding.
Applications will be accepted from individual artists, please contact the Arts Office if you require additional support to complete an application form or have any query in relation to whether you are eligible to apply. It is important to reduce any barriers that may be perceived or real when wishing to engage in the Arts, therefore please contact us to discuss.
Funding Information Sessions for Artists
Carlow County Council Arts Service will host three Meet and Greet Information sessions prior to the funding deadlines in early 2024 regarding upcoming Grants and Funding opportunities and this will provide you with the opportunity to meet in person. Events will take place in each of the Municipal Districts of Carlow that include Carlow Town, Bagenalstown and Tullow and dates will be advertised in December 2023 for these.
Application process, criteria and application forms will be uploaded to the website when application opens for 2024.
