Carlow SME owners and their employees are invited to an inspirational breakfast seminar with Enda O’Doherty in Carlow College as part of Carlow Business Day on 9th October 2024. This breakfast promises to be more than just a networking opportunity; it is a chance to engage with profound ideas and life lessons from the renowned motivational speaker and mental health advocate, Enda O’Doherty.
Carlow Business Day 2024 is organised by a partnership of the Local Enterprise Office, Carlow Tourism, Network Ireland (Carlow), Carlow Libraries, Carlow County Development Partnership, County Carlow Chamber, KCETB (Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board), Carlow College, Bagenalstown Chamber of Commerce Group, Carlow & Kilkenny Skillsnet and SETU.
Enda O’Doherty is no ordinary speaker. He is an individual who has pushed the boundaries of human endurance, both physically and mentally, and who has emerged with a powerful message of resilience, hope, and determination. His presentation, titled “I’m Fine! – Thoughts of Life, Addiction, Love, and Health,” is expected to be an eye-opening exploration of the human experience. Through his personal journey, Enda delves into the complexities of life’s challenges, including addiction, love, and the pursuit of holistic health. His story is not just one of personal triumph, but one that resonates with universal themes of struggle and redemption, making it particularly relevant in today’s fast-paced and often stressful world.
Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development & Enterprise at Carlow County Council, expressed his excitement about the event saying that “Carlow Business Day 2024 is all about bringing our community together to learn, grow, and be inspired,” he said. “We are thrilled to have Enda O’Doherty as our keynote speaker. His incredible journey and resilience embody the strength and determination that we see every day in our local businesses. I encourage everyone to attend this event—it’s an opportunity not to be missed.”
The breakfast will include a keynote presentation by Enda O’Doherty when attendees will be invited to reflect on their own lives and challenges through the lens of Enda’s experiences. His unique ability to connect with audiences through storytelling, combined with his remarkable achievements as an endurance athlete, makes his presentations both deeply moving and highly motivating. Enda’s journey, which includes completing gruelling Ironman races and carrying a washing machine on his back up Mt. Kilimanjaro, serves as a powerful metaphor for the burdens we all carry and the strength we can summon to overcome them.
Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council also expressed strong support for the event, highlighting its importance for local SME’s ongoing development. “Carlow has always been a place where community and enterprise thrive side by side. Events like this Business Breakfast are vital in nurturing the resilience and determination that define our county. I urge everyone to join us for what promises to be an inspiring and impactful morning,” the Cathaoirleach said.
Cllr. Browne concluded by saying “The Business Breakfast, featuring Enda O’Doherty, is a key part of this celebration, offering a rare opportunity for personal and professional growth. As spaces are limited, those interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance to ensure they do not miss out on what promises to be a truly transformative experience.”
