Carlow Enterprise Awards Ceremony Held - VisionGreen Consultancy to Represent Carlow at National Enterprise Awards

VisionGreen Consultancy, a local business developing sustainability solutions for businesses of all sizes has been selected to represent Carlow at the National Enterprise Awards 2025.

A function hosted today by Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office also revealed the winners of four other categories in the Carlow Enterprise Awards. Category winners were presented with their awards by Dara Calleary TD, Minister for Social Protection and Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. The awards were part of a highly successful Local Enterprise Week, which is taking place across the country through events organised by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices. Over 300 events will be held nationwide from March 4th to 8th.

Speaking at the awards ceremony Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council said "The National Enterprise Awards honour the dedication, creativity, and perseverance of individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the local economy and are actively driving economic growth both in our county and across the country." 

VisionGreen Consultancy will now represent Carlow against representatives of the other 30 Local Enterprise Offices at the National Enterprise Awards, which will be held in Dublin’s Mansion House in May. Founded by Ronan Murphy and John Pakenham in 2019, VisionGreen Consultancy specialises in creating and delivering tailored sustainability solutions that not only meet compliance but go beyond, enabling businesses to achieve lasting change, reduce environmental impact, and enhance profitability. VisionGreen combines deep expertise with a collaborative approach, offering innovative strategies that align with their clients' unique needs and values.

Addressing the awards ceremony, Ronan Murphy of VisionGreen Consultancy shared the story of his business and its growth since its founding in 2019. He expressed gratitude for the trust that Carlow customers placed in his company from the outset, noting that this local support has been key to VisionGreen Consultancy's expansion into a business with global ambitions. He also thanked his team of employees for their role in the company's success and highlighted the vital support provided by the Local Enterprise Office in his business’s development.

This year’s awards event also saw a number of other awards given in recognition of businesses who have grown in partnership with the Local Enterprise Office. The other category winners announced were JF Sports – Digital Business Award; Country Kitchen – Green Business Award; Coppenagh House Farm - Lean Business Award; Seed Golf – Exporting Business Award.

While not all shortlisted businesses won today, we're confident they'll be strong contenders in future competitions."
