Irish Stakeholders Attend Interregional Workshop in Bucharest

Irish stakeholders from Carlow County Council and South East Technological University (SETU) attended the 3rd Stakeholders Group Meeting, held on June 18-19, 2024, in Bucharest. This meeting marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration among project partners and regional and interregional stakeholders. The event, hosted by the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency (ADRBI), brought together key players from various sectors to discuss and promote innovative solutions for enhancing SME competitiveness and sustainable development.

‘Ireland’s Creative Expo’ - One of the country’s largest international trade shows returns to RDS Dublin 19th to 21st January 2025

The Local Enterprise Showcase is set to return to the RDS in Dublin from January 19th to 21st, 2025. The event is expected to draw buyers from over 2,760 retailers worldwide, including Ireland, the UK, USA, Mainland Europe, and the Far East, generating significant sales orders for the upcoming year. Presented by Design & Crafts Council Ireland and supported by Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, the Showcase will feature over 400 Irish brands, including emerging businesses backed by their Local Enterprise Offices.

Transboundary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Public Consultation – Mona Offshore Wind Project, located in the Irish Sea approximately 28.2km from the Anglesey coastline

In accordance with the provisions of the 1991 United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (“the Espoo Convention”), the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage received notification from the UK Planning Inspectorate (“PINS”) in relation to a development consent application (“the planning application”) by Mona Offshore Wind Limited. Mona Offshore Wind Project is a project comprised of (but not limited to) an offshore wind farm array located approximately 28.2km from the Anglesey coastline in the Irish Sea, offshore transmission infrastructure extending to landfall on the north coast of Wales; and an onshore transmission infrastructure extending from landfall to the onshore National Grid substation at Bodelwyddan.
